It is with great pleasure that we advise that A/Prof Jocelyn Shand has been awarded the Distinguished Service award by the IAOMS Board of Directors.
This award is given to a Fellow who has provided services to the IAOMS above and beyond what is ordinarily expected of a Fellow. A/Prof Shand’s ongoing dedication to the IAOMS, including service as ANZAOMS Councillor, Regional Representative on the Executive Committee and most recently as a member of the Education Committee, are examples of such contributions.
The award was presented at the Gala Dinner at ICOMS 2023. Congratulations A/Prof Shand.
Sincere congratulations to Dr Omar Breik of QLD who was awarded the IAOMS NextGen award for 2023, for the Oceania Region, in recognition of his commitment to the specialty. This is a newly launched award to recognise outstanding contribution from a NextGen member in the areas of education, research, volunteerism and leadership.
