The International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (CAOMS) came together in Vancouver 8-11 June 2023 for the biennial education and networking conference. The event brings together oral and maxillofacial surgeons, trainees and allied health professionals from throughout the world for four days of learning.
A significant cohort of ANZAOMS members from across Australia and New Zealand made the trip to ICOMS this year, including a large number from the region who presented and moderated free papers and plenary sessions.
ANZAOMS President, Dr Patrishia Bordbar made an official welcome to the Opening Ceremony on behalf of ANZAOMS. Dr Bordbar joined the stage with a number of other international Presidents who made the trip to Vancouver.
ANZAOMS representatives, A/Prof Jocelyn Shand (Oceania Representative) and Dr John Harrison (Oceania Councillor) attended the pre ICOMS Executive and Council meetings respectively.
